Jonathan Peter Ede

It is with profound sadness that we remember and honour the life of our Managing Director, Jonathan Peter Ede, whose dedication, leadership and unwavering commitment shaped Roselyn Coaches for decades.

Jonathan devoted his working life to Roselyn Coaches. It was far more than a business to him — it was his passion, his purpose, and a legacy he was deeply proud to continue. Following the passing of his father in 1992, Jonathan began running the family business alongside other family members. Over the years, as relatives retired or left, he gradually took on greater responsibility, before assuming sole charge as Managing Director in 2011. His vision, determination and tireless work ethic helped guide Roselyn Coaches through many years of growth and change while always maintaining the family values on which the company was built.

To Jonathan, every customer mattered, every journey counted, and every member of staff was valued. He led by example, earning the respect and admiration of everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him. His knowledge of the coach industry was exceptional, and his commitment to providing a reliable, friendly and professional service never wavered.

Although Jonathan had been looking forward to retiring later in 2026, with plans to hand the reins to his eldest daughter, Rebecca, who has worked alongside him since 2011, he remained as passionate about the business as ever. Passing Roselyn Coaches on to the next generation of the family was something he looked forward to with great pride and confidence.

Jonathan's absence is felt every single day. His kindness, wisdom, humour and leadership have left an immeasurable mark on our family, our staff, our customers and everyone who knew him.

While he is no longer with us, the values he instilled and the legacy he built will continue to guide Roselyn Coaches into the future. We remain committed to honouring his memory by continuing the business he loved so dearly with the same care, integrity and dedication that he showed throughout his life.
